Let books be books and movies be movies bc they always ruin the books

As much as I hate “fanfic with the serial numbers barely filed off” schtick, I fear a movie may be the only way I enjoy this story

you didn’t like the book?

not particularly. Ali admitted she didn’t know how to like formulate a story, she just gave her agent tropes and her agent helped her come up with a plot and you can def tell. every book she writes is a little better tho so I’m glad she’s gaining confidence as an author

yes very true. i liked the chemistry between the characters but i do agree with you that it lacked a little bit. maybe the movie will be good tho! who knows 😭

No I’m low key excited for the movie! Tbh I eat bad romcom movies up way more than bad romance novels so even if it’s the same caliber as the book, I’ll probably love it (I can also ignore all the unrealistic/problematic bits better in movies)
