Hey bestie. There’s a difference between fiction and reality. Men who don’t want to rape women will not suddenly want to bc of a movie, and women who enjoyed HA for kink reasons also don’t deserve to be told they want to be raped. This isn’t a good take.

It’s also not a good idea AT ALL to start blaming fiction for human actions. Men who want to commit rape are already doing that w/out a HA movie. Men are already watching porn that is way more extreme than HA. We need to not start blaming media for real world horrific acts or we are falling back into “video games make people violent” and censorship territory. Do I like HA? Absolutely not (hello q anon plot). But it is not going to be the downfall of society and chance good men into rapists.

It’s almost like there aren’t already plenty of other movies out there that depict similar themes! People are so weird.

Oh okay so y’all are going to fall for dangerous rhetoric that will lead to men getting off of more serious rape charges because you let them weaponize fiction and say “I thought she wanted it because of x movie.” No fucking foresight whatsoever. We hold humans accounted for their actions. Not a book. Jesus Christ.
