i read in the break room during my lunch break and everyone is always like “wow! you’re reading!” or “that’s a big book! i could never” like why is it so shocking when someone reads now? people are addicted to their phones i stg like reading is FUN

It might just be my choice of profession, but in my case it seems like everybody is reading something and I have to go down to the first floor and hide in a corner so I can read in peace without people trying to talk to me about it 😭

It’s always the big book comments bc mind you the book is prob only 400 pages. Did you only read picture books growing up or something bc 400 is not that much to me

I was reading before we opened and someone was like “dang you like big books huh” the book was 500 pages 💀
