I was soo happy to finally have a very unproblematic Mmc 😭💖 In this house we appreciate Aren and his absolute patience. (I love a good morally gray guy but Aren was refreshing and just what Lara needed!!)

Looking back on my reading experience, the quality of the world building was actually fantastic and super interesting. The author did a great job of getting the reader acclimated to the world and its politics. My only qualm is the MC, who I wish got a bit more depth and attention. I wanted to see more of her life before and her backstory, but we were just thrown into the marriage plot. Maybe they’ll go into more depth in the next books though 😌
