The point being? I hate her in the same way I hate Miranda Priestly in Devil Wears Prada. I love the character and see why they do what they do and see why it’s necessary but I still don’t like them as people because they’re jerks.

She wasn’t a jerk nor a bad person. Reread the book if you can’t realize that. She HAD to do bad things, doesn’t make her a bad person. We “hate” her because of the point of view we saw her in. If we saw her in the POV of a civilian praying that they live we’d see her as a hero. She’s not a hero but she’s not even close to a villain. Shes a good person

No no, let’s not excuse what she did. Sure, she put one life over the greater good, but that doesn’t make what she did ok. Like ends justify the means all you want but it’s still betrayal and murder. Fantastic, tasty character, but perfectly hateable, and arguably supposed to be hated
