The paperback is even cheaper somehow, you’d think production costs would have more of an impact. But also why is the ebook even 10 dollars to begin with?! It gives me the same vibe as how online libraries only have 1-2 copies of a digital book that you have to put on hold and wait forever for. They should have 100s since they don’t take up space like physical copies

No fr!!! Ebooks are getting way too expensive and it’s annoying bc eventually I have to delete it from my kindle to download more books so I waste money

And then people complain about consumerism when you buy the physical copy even though it’s literally more cost effective in a lot of cases 😭

about online libraries- that’s 100% publisher’s faults. they make digital licenses prohibitively expensive, and ik with Libby a lot of licenses are only valid for a certain number of checkout before the library has to rebuy them

I would suspect, however, that the MSRPs of the ebooks and physical copies are further apart than they appear on Amazon. all in their effort to corner the book market by selling everything at a loss (and if they succeed, y’all know book prices are gonna skyrocket)
