I wish I could, but I just do not vibe with Austen. I want to love her. I respect her as a lit figure and storyteller. I just can’t get into her writing 😭

You might like Northanger Abbey, it’s written in a slightly different style that I feel is more approachable. But no worries if it’s not for you either

Okay okay. I want updates about both books then because Ive never read either (Jane Austen is a great person but I dont vibe with her writing) and maybe we could help each other (I mean all commenters and OP) find new books for each other

Northanger abbey is different than her usual style because it’s a satire of the gothic - so the narrator is often directly poking fun at the main character. It’s not for everyone, but it was fun for me :D
