I don't get how some people read so many books in a year. Are you guys reading for several hours every day? Or are you really fast readers? 100 books a year is basically two books a week, how do you have the time???
I read fast, I dedicate most of my free time to reading, and for a while, I had a job where I could listen to audiobooks at work. I also multitask with reading whenever I can

I can do two books a week if I purposely try really hard but I don't think I could do that the whole year

I have a job where I can read at work when it’s not busy

the last time i did it was when i was in elementary/middle school aka free reading time throughout the day, reading w/ english teachers, and easy hw so i had so much time to read - now im lucky if i read one book during college

sometimes I can do 2 books a week if they're both easy and/or short, I read way more books than most people but I'll never be able read 150 a year because of the books I tend to choose

i read 153 books in one year because i was unemployed for two months during the summer and all i did was apply for jobs and read in my backyard - you’d be surprised how much you can read when you have nothing else to do with your time

I read alot because I have summers off. Even after this year I will have the summers off and would rather spend it reading

I read a lot of manga as well as novels and one volume of manga takes me like 30 minutes to read

Hihi! I read a lot, like a lot a lot, about a book a day a lot. It’s a combination of reading during any time I would normally use my phone, reading a lot before bed, and audiobooks whenever I’d be listening to music.

I read 875 wpm, and set aside at least an hour every night before bed to read. Additionally, I read anytime I’m queuing, at my uni cafeteria, at theme parks, while I eat, etc

I feel like those people are lying. I encountered someone once who legitimately said that they read three hundred books in one year. There’s no fuckin way man

Cuz most of the books are glorified smut or other minimal commitment stuff

Okay yeah, this makes sense. My cousins always go to the library and check out like 7 manga at a time because they finish them so quick

The audiobooks are actually huge for finishing a lot of books because you can multitask. I can read at work but only in between customers so I get interrupted every couple minutes

Indeed. I also listen at 2x speed (can’t focus on them if it’s any slower) which helps greatly. I could finish three short audiobooks in a day at my old job. but yeah my current job I sometimes read an ebook when it’s slow but I can’t get much done if I’m continuously interrupted

it definitely happens (but I was also deeply unwell lol)

Idk whether to be jealous of your reading skills or sympathetic of your mental illness

also it wasn’t how some of those people are where they read 50-100 page books, little me was churning through 300-800 page books for fun💀 (we had to keep track of the word count and let me tell you i think i was insane)
