this is like one of the plot points in the show Jane the Virgin. her husband (dead) got amnesia but wanted her back after he remembered their relationship. but she was already deeply in a relationship with her sperm donor baby daddy. her husband had changed from a city boy to a country, line dancing, horse rangling cowboy type and eventually let her go.
