think about interesting flaws to explore in your mcs and develop a story that exploits those flaws

You can try doing a chapter by chapter outline! Sometimes that helps me get straight where I want to go with the story. Mine are like 1-3 sentences per chapter outlines + highlighting based on the POV I want the chapter from, but experiment around w what works best for you!
