me when people think I’m so smart for working at a research lab but the work is so repetitive and mindless that I can finish multiple (short) audiobooks in a day

Luckyyyy. I work at Starbucks during the school year and my local small race track as a flag marshal in the summer. I literally get no time to read while working

Which reminds me, I work a similarly slow job that I can read while at work but I forgot my book at home.

I used to have a job like that in college. During the school year I did homework, during summer I read or played games on my switch or wrote stories for ao3. Now I work a nice job but it can be exhausting
