I’ve been seeing people genuinely say vile things about Ali Hazelwood because of her take on Peeta from the Hunger Games. This is why I hate Peeta stans 😄The Hunger Games was about Katniss and revolution, and y’all turned it into a romance.

Then that is a bad take lol and that’s not even taking romance into consideration. Like it or not, Peeta did make Katniss so much more palatable to the capitol. I don’t really buy her having as much sway as she did, especially early on, without the star crossed lovers angle. She likely would’ve done what she could to survive and continue to try to keep her head down

Now do I condone personal attacks on Ali for having incorrect opinions? No. But this is decidedly an incorrect opinion lol unless there’s further context I’m missing

The further missing context is that people are now saying Ali Hazelwood is a horrible person, her books suck, she should quit being an author, she’s a cunt, etc, etc.

And in respect to the actual games, Peeta was useless. He’d be dead four times over with Katniss. Ain’t nothing wrong with saying that.

i mean without him pretending to side with the careers and running back to tell her her to run after the tracker jackers she probably would’ve died, and without him to push the star-crossed lovers angle i don’t think she would’ve have gotten nearly as many sponsors as she did; maybe in the games after he was injured he wasn’t as helpful but he was still able to help her sell the romance which imo is the only reason they were able to get out of that arena at all

oh that part is definitely horrible and people are certainly overreacting, i may disagree with her but that level of attacking her is super unacceptable

Oh yeah no that’s awful. Though I don’t see what that has to do with a revolution vs romance reading of the books (ik some people miss the point of the books but I feel like nowadays most fans have grown up and have more media literacy)
