I would HIGHLY reccomend Island of the World by Michael D. O’Brian. Its basically the life of a fictional boy in Yugoslavia, its fantastic and I cant say enough good things about it. It does have a significant religious theme, but even if you dont believe in that sort of thing, its still a great read 👍
