Has anyone else notice that when authors are writing series they don’t number the books anymore. Like you kinda just have to guess what book is first. Am I crazy?

No it's annoying asf having to google the series and look up the order. Like why make thousands to millions of people waste 60 seconds vs just putting a number on the spine & "the __#__ book in the _____ series" on the cover in smaller writing

All they have to do is put a teeny tiny number on the spine. It does NOT take up that much room.

#1 the curse of the black pearl, #2 dead man’s chest, #3 at world’s end. and if you REALLY enjoyed the universe/experience, #4 is on stranger tides and #5 is dead men tell no tales. the 4th and 5th ones are decent movies but the original trilogy are definitely much better
