Hi someone in the fandom here. That person’s weird as hell and some people in this fandom are wayyyyyyyy too into it but I’d like to think that the majority of us are normal. Just the loud people are the awful ones.

Online is one thing because people say all kinds of things online and it just tends to be more divided in general, but I have coworkers (who I am/was friends with!) try to get me to read it for ages. I finally did, it’s not really my cup of tea, and they’re treating me completely different. Over opinions on a BOOK. Like what??? I didn’t even hate on it, just said it wasn’t for me. They quote it all the time now and kinda snidely say I’d understand if i wasn’t too good for it 🫠
