As an audiobook enjoyers, this is such a cheat code. Granted I’ve been using it since CDs were more relevant with computers with built-in drives but still. Get from library, import to computer, fill up drive with enough books for the whole summer!

Also step 4: transfer to phone for portable listening, and import to either Apple Books app or a file play app to allow for faster speeds. Is the quality sound? as good as services like Audible with its Dolby Atmos sound? Perhaps not but it’s still pretty good, and while I do love Audible, this is a great way to get things beyond the Audible+ catalog, buying tons of credits, and apps like Hoopla.

I’ve been doing it since before I even had a phone, back when I was in elementary school with an old 2006 MacBook and an iPod Nano. Never had an iPod Touch but eventually when my dad upgraded his phone he gave me his old one, just without a SIM card so it was functionally just a better version of a iPod Touch. So much storage on there for so many books! I do miss built-in disk drives to a certain extent but the attachable ones are much faster.
