The discourse around the new acotar novel is going to ruin the release like some fans take all of the wrong things seriously about it (the characters) just enjoy it for what it is they’re not real 😭

Unfortunately the fan base is very immature and can’t enjoy complex characters who aren’t squeaky clean. I’m very excited!

That mixed with a writer who can’t write consistent character tropes cause she’s too busy with the current plot makes nightmarish cesspools of comment sections but hey it’s still an enjoyable series 🤩

I think the female characters are consistent…the male characters are lacking though. Especially Rhys

Like got everyone to obsess over him for 3 and a half books and now his character is just “playing authority figure in whatever way is convenient to the current plot”

I see the vision but also I feel like Lucien deserved better in general and even just as a friend to her 🥲
