I read all genres but I would never look down on someone who only reads one type. Maybe they’re new to reading or they aren’t comfortable tackling classics because they can be difficult if you aren’t familiar with them

Is it really so hard to be nice? I don’t understand why we can’t just be nice to each other. I’m sure we’d find some common ground on a book but that can’t happen if people judge each other

It wasn’t a suggestion- it was an “observation” that had the intended goal to insult those who don’t post about classics. People who are elitist (like OOP) are also surprisingly fast to dog pile because, surprise surprise, they believe they’re better for reading older literature
