The thing that annoys me (as someone who's studying to be a librarian) is how many people settle for really shitty writing. I grew up reading fanfic on tumblr, ao3, wattpad. And all of those are MILES better than the slop people are getting now

Ppl have enjoyed porn for as long as it has existed. You can talk about the specific forms of porn being unhealthy and harmful but ngl I feel like there’s a weird double standard going on with booktok - cuz yeah, it’s porn, but it gets made fun of more because it’s porn targeted towards women. Like let women have porn. And I say this as a guy! So much of porn is geared towards us, let women have porn too
