thinking of jumping ship from goodreads. which one is better, storygraph or fable?

I had them both for a little while, but twos a little much and I naturally ended up only using fable. The colors and interface are better imo and the team behind it seems to care more, theyre always updating it and actually listening to complaints. It might be more even with story graph now but I think in the future with a couple more features itll be better by a mile

storygraph, i used fable for like 15 minutes and it encouraged me to use amazon affiliate links to buy trad published books just within that time. storygraph has its drawbacks, but its never told me to buy a book off amazon

i thought fable looked prettier! storygraph seems very analytical, which i’m sure is cool for some but i’m here for looks lol

That was my main drawback with story graph as well. Fable does have a bunch of stats, some are new and locked behind a paywall (one of the new updates I didn’t necessarily agree with) but it still lets you make a reading goal, track genres, ratings, and authors for free, and personally that’s all I really need. it also looks better and you can customize the colors

ohh ok cool thank you! i think i’ll go with fable. i only really want to track my books, i don’t need anything crazy anyways lol
