I think it’d be neat to read a set of interconnected standalones where the various main characters DONT like each other
Idk I feel it’s real for the people if you have either like yes they’re characters but this actually happens
it just feels like lazy writing
What books have you read that specifically have this? I’m just curious, not antagonizing you
the biggest ones i remember are Ana Huang’s books… there’s probably more examples from what i’ve read but she’s the first one i thought of
I’m not sure how she does it, but I have heard similar thoughts of the romance being sort of off. It really could just be what exactly you’re reading
oh yes for sure it’s not in all romance books… i’ve just noticed it more and more recently especially with some of the big authors
Yeah most “big authors” on booktok or any other social platform are either very good or “moderate” (the quotations are just for lack of better words)
100% agree… i’ve read some really good romance books recently from less popular authors (at least less popular on booktok)
Yup, you just gotta preview the first few pages or read reviews to truly understand if it’s for your before buying it
