transparent sticky notes. i kid you not, best purchase ever. personally i love the book of annotations and highlighting but if you don’t want it, transparent sticky notes are where it’s at

I mostly buy second hand books and I’m always excited when they have annotations, so I imagine that other people will be similarly happy. also, my future self can look back on it as a diary of sorts. even if my thoughts / opinions have changed, it’s a record of what I used to think which is cool!

i am in school for writing, and i realized i was never going to learn anything if i didn’t take thorough notes and mark up the text like i would a textbook. i will write in every book now, no care

just do it, break the seal. maybe start with a book thats already ratty

I like to imagine someone coming by years from now and reading the book and knowing someone else’s thoughts

you could try buying a random cheap book at a thrift store and annotating it to get a feel for it. that way you won’t regret it like you might if you annotated a book you liked

well if i bought the book and it’s mine to keep then no i dont feel guilt but if its not mine i don’t

A couple months ago I got a book embosser that embosses my name into my books. And I figured if I'm doing that then I might as well write in them too because these are very clearly my books
