I’ve read the Blade Itself and own the other two in that trilogy but haven’t gotten to them yet, I think I’m going to go back and finish them after this!

I’m only about 100 pages in so I can’t say for sure, but I think it’s fine as a standalone. I’m sure there are Easter eggs, but if I’ve missed any it hasn’t detracted from my experience. That being said, first law is a great intro to his writing/style, is very good, and is a completed series while the devils is an unfinished trilogy (I think). I just started the devils cause everybody keeps recommending it lately, but will definitely finish first law after to see if I actually did miss anything
