Seems like *you're* the one self-imposing this sense of cringe and assuming other people will feel the same Literally just be honest. How will you spark conversations with people who may like the same things you like if you continue to lie to seem "cool"?
It depends what you like but some of the more ✨high brow ✨lit that I've read this year were Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, and the Disspossed by Ursula K Le Guin and they're all amazing. (also I agree with #1, there's no shame in cringe lol)
