Not at all! But I would recommend letting yourself be a kid again. Don’t go into it analyzing it like you would a more mature novel. Theres a bunch of juvenile jokes/language, just embrace them and have fun with it . Don’t take it too serious, tho there are definitely still emotional moments that’ll hit no matter how old you are. And especially if you like the show, it does a good job, but the characters are better in the books, and it’s in first person so you get more sassy Percy inner thoughts

you might find the humor childish and the plots not too intricate but if you just let yourself enjoy them as you would a children's show you'll love them! i love reading middle grade from time to time it's all about knowing what to expect. have fun!
