it’s by anaïs nin who was a french writer, lived in paris in 1930’s. this book is of her diary entries written about a couple, henry and june miller. henry was a german writer who highly admired proust and dostoevsky and he and anaïs would often write to each other. anaïs fell in love with both henry and his wife, june, but she was also married to her husband hugo. she wrote a lot of feminist literature and was one of the first females in the western world to write about female sexuality.
