I didn’t provide context, my b- we are currently friends to this day! They asked if we still could when they broke up with me, I was just sending them a text regarding a moment we recently had and just wanted to tell them they’re still free to talk to me about anything cuz I kinda have this feeling they worry about crossing or overstepping boundaries. We’re being very respectful towards each other in terms of trying to like stay in our lanes for lack of a better word…?

I did I was just worried it was gonna look like I’m pining for them or if say anything about us being friends that that’s going to send them the signal that I’d never want to date them cuz I just see them as a friend. Basically I wanted to remain completely ambiguous lmao. But it actually was fine. In fact it went better than expected.
