I have a question for black army that keeps getting removed on the red talk app and I’m really interested to know the answer. How do you guys still stan BTS, especially when they keep having racist controversies and scandals? Do you guys not feel icky?

All their racist controversies were way back in like 2013ish and they have apologized and have never done it again. Yes theyve messed up but theyve grown from it and are actively involved with black artists and just from namjoon’s speak yourself speech and them donating to blm, i think everything theyve done makes up especially since they havent repeated any of their past actions

What’s the red talk app? And what racist controversy are you talking about?

i see it’s kinda been a tad explained here, but i will give my input. a lot of the major controversies were from a while back and apologies were made. that’s much appreciated. they have grown and learned from it, even changing korean language words to not sound like slurs when performing in the states. “naega” is what i’m referring to. as for more recent ones, it’s seems more like ignorance than racism. for example, jk shirt (didn’t know and apologized quick).

Im not excusing them but theyve grown and have never claimed to be saints without any mistakes, theyre always admitting they mess up sometimes and are always trying to grow. Unlike other groups, theyve shown initiative

Have you seen the clip of Jimin calling JK a slur for being too dark? Also V wearing a durag on live and lipsyncing the n-word twice in the same live in 2023? Also the whole ordeal with their staff whitewashing Howard university? If so, do you not consider those racist controversies? (I’m not trying to argue I’m just trying to better understand 🫶🏾)

? Obv im black & I’m genuinely curious why can’t you just explain the vague post😒

Because it’s not vague. It doesn’t matter what app and if you were actually black you would know at least one racist controversy they’ve had like #2 did… also a quick google will tell you a list of their controversies if you were really interested. I’m not gonna list them so you can try to debunk them and say they weren’t racist

Okay so you just came here to fuel your confirmation bias? Then what’s the point in saying you’re “interested”. Doesn’t matter what the controversy or wtv is being said you’ve made up your mind, you don’t need to ask us then?? I’d NEVER defend whatever controversial thing they’ve said or done but what you’re doing is something else entirely.

Yawn. If you’re mad that you aren’t black and this wasn’t for you take the pity party somewhere else. Maybe make your own post? Idk

You don’t have to say anything. If you really wanted to know you would’ve looked it up but expecting a black woman to educate you on controversies is a very white thing to do. You’re steadily yapping and not answering my question… trying to deflect rn is crazy

Im from philly and ik people that aren’t black wear durags so thats honestly up for interpretation ig and supposed lil uzu gave him that when they were at an afterparty. I don’t think he said it and because it usnt clear whether he actually said it or not thats why idk if it’s valid to put as a solid reason especially when bts replaced the korean word neaga at billboard so people didn’t get the wrong idea. The howard one i understand but bts had no part in making that

YOU made a post talking about their racist controversy and scandals and then I asked you to list what you are referring to in regards to that & the red app, and what did you say?? Look it up💀 why make a conversation about it if you didn’t want to converse to begin with?? Additionally I don’t have to prove my race to you tf, talking abt “deflect” you sound crazy asl ngl, cope harder. If me asking you what red app you’re talking about and what scandal you might be referring to is “very white” idk

I made a post for black army. If you were black you would know at least one. I’m not even an army and I know their main big racist controversy 💀💀💀 And if you didn’t know then why the hell are you here? If you were black and you said “I don’t know about any of their controversies that’s why I can stan them” that would’ve been acceptable, but I have a hard time believing that you’re black and therefore this conversation has nothing to do with you.

Obviously you wanted to have a “interesting conversation” with an already set confirmation bias, you literally give zero fucks on this and just want a back and forth (hence this shit rn)

If I wanted a back and forth I would be arguing with #2 as well. If you’re mad that your lost that’s on you. Have the day you deserve! And stop pretending to be black, we don’t fall for it. We can tell when people are actually black even without seeing them 😘

You made a post for black army in a BTS sub meanwhile you’re not even a fan? Just a mf that’s bored and wanna start arguments?? Obviously there a controversy with every artist but I’m referring to the controversy in particular that YOU are asking about??? Is comprehension this bad?? Additionally you can’t even say the name of the app you’re talking abt

Ofc!!! Sorry aboout the other person in this post🫤i just wanted to add that because bts have a history of doing things like replacing the word neaga, working with black artists heavily and appreciating them, admitting their faults and never doing it again, and speaking about racism, it seems very unlikely that a member would be dumb enough to go on live and say the n word ngl

Lmfao you’re genuinely crazy, but what more should I have expected😭 this mf talking abt some you’re not black, all this because you can’t continue what you’re talking abt. I came here with genuine interest in what you were talking abt but it’s clear it didn’t matter what we had to say anyways

Well no offense but some members of BTS aren’t the smartest lol (JK Literallt wore a make Tokyo great again hat which was dumb ash since he’s not even from Tokyo??) but it’s fine! I figured there would be some chaos here regarding the topic. A lot of people don’t even like to admit the initial stuff happened 😭😭

Yea idk what he was thinking with that but at least he apologized HELLA quick like i fr saw his apology before the pic of him with the tshirt💀yea a lot of armys dont wanna admit their controversies but well no one is perfect and that includes bts and it really is just up to the individual whether to forgive them or not but i do think their positives regarding this outweigh the negatives

Seeing the apology first is so funny 😭😭😭😭 I’m not really into them but the positives do seem good! I heard they donated like a million dollars to the BLM movement and the fans matched it so that’s a positive for suuuuurrrrreeeee

Ive been an army since around 2017 and it’s amazing seeing how much theyve grown when it comes to stuff like this! Im 1/4 asian and ik asian countries are extremely blind to other cultures and are just ignorant overall so im glad that theyre doing better and have learned despite all that! Theyve messed up but i think we made the right group this famous

tae wearing a durag on a live (was gifted from uzi at a party so he wore it). that’s kinda up to opinion though tbh. and him lip syncing the “n word” is extremely unclear in the live. if it was clear, i think a lot of armys would call him out for it and i have no doubt an apology would be made. but it just seems so unclear. those boys apologize more than anyone, sometimes for things that don’t even matter (yoongi on the scooter for example). so this is my take. i feel far from icky stanning them
