Thank you! I think the reason these cars get so much hate is because Hyundai is till redeeming itself from their past, and their performance division is young. Every person I’ve taken for a ride or did a run with has been pleasantly surprised. It’s a pretty rare car in my neck of the woods.
Fucking crazy. Keep in mind my car history is all BOF SUV and trucks with lots of body roll and play in the steering, but this thing is DIALED. When you put it in N mode the steering also weights up significantly, and you feel really connected to the road. The car responds to the tiniest bit of input, it’s awesome.
However, this is still a “Great Value” Civic Type R. Even though it’s a knock on it, it’s honestly the best way to describe it. Great Value consistently produces food products that rank high among reviewers, but it’s still Walmart brand. It impresses people, but it’s still off brand. That’s a good way to describe the EN. You’ll be happier in a CTR, but, a you afford it? That’s the real question. This car offers 90% of the experiences for 15+k less. 100k/10yr power train warranty BTW.
