I’m looking for a car that’s fast but reliable as this will be my daily and I do live in the Midwest so it must be somewhat drivable in the snow. My budget is about 50k . I’ve looked into the ct4-v blackwing, ATSV , BMW m340i,m440i , and m550i.

I hate to say it cause it’s so copy-paste and the service will cost a fortune, but an M340i x-drive if you really need to scratch this itch now. Personally, I’d recommend buying a cheaper, reliable car and saving up for a true 2nd hooligan car.

Subaru Outback as beater, save up for a nicer weekend cruiser.

Get a really nice k swapped ek hatchback. Save yourself 30 grand and get a reliable car in the process. even non turbo you get like 4 second 0-60 times. If you really want a bmw just get something with a naturally aspirated v6

Something you’ll realize is that something fast, reliable, and affordable isn’t really attainable. You can usually choose two out of the three. But then you throw in practicality as a daily driver, and it gets way more difficult, especially since you might need to drive in snow (possibly different wheels and tires for summer/winter if you really want performance). If you get an M340i, you WILL be replacing tires and/or rims frequently due to potholes and crappy roads.

Tbh a girl I was goofin around with has an older K24 Honda CR-V and even that thing was fun. Was it a sports car? No. Was it fun enough to goof around with and not be worried about breaking it? Yes. You can find decent cars to hold you over until you can afford something real nice OP. I’m saving up for an either a Boss 302 mustang, an older GT500, an older Camaro ZL1, or a vette. Those cars will demand much more respect than anything you’re probably thinking of right now.
