hey, i’m planning on leasing a car. this will be my 1st car, and i’m technically a new driver although i’ve had my license for a little over a yr now. i have a budget that would allow for a mazda cx5 or a kia sportage-xline. any thoughts on either car?

Don’t lease bro save up until u can buy a reliable shitbox. Don’t put urself in any sort of debt arrangement especially when you’re young and just starting out your financial journey. Since you don’t gain any equity in the car you’re just throwing away money.

I would get the cx5! Great interior decently quick and nice features

My dad owns a Kia (the soul😭) but the gas mileage is amazing and his repairs have been minimal, I used to drive a Mazda 5 and I loved that thing to the ground it died on my family after 19 years

Get an EG civic hatchback that’s been k20 swapped - this is the only way

Smoother would be the Kia I think cuz Mazda is somewhat of a “sporty” brand

it’s hard to describe exactly what i mean by smoother, but did you feel every single bump in the kia as much as you did in the mazda? i’m not sure if i’m asking all the right questions

Seconding this. Leasing is pretty much for rich people who can afford to throw money away or people who like driving really unreliable cars. The only situation it makes sense is if you get an absolute banger of a deal on a lease. Like a dealership near me was/is doing leases on Nissan Leafs for ~$84 a month.

I’ve gotta back this as well. Save for as long as you can and then purchase for cash if possible. Leasing is the worst way to spend your money car wise.
