And since you mentioned “WRXs” and not “STIs” the WRXs specificallt are notorious for blowing their transmissions, whereas the STIs (at least 2008+) are not. The head gasket issue is always present (less so 2008+) due to Subaru’s dogshit oil port design in the head, and it’s only exacerbated when your everyday jackass throws 30+ pounds of boost at it
