Okay so my 2020 Hyundai Tucson check engine light came on and started blinking when I was driving. The code that came up was P1326, with the knock system. Do we think that they’d be able to fix it in like 4 hours max?

knocking is most likely not a 4 hour fix, unless it’s just a sensor and i pray that it is, not sure if they can determine a faulty sensor without opening it up

My car hasn’t really knocked at all and the guys at auto zone said it was probably a fault sensor. I just had the sensors replaced in early April though so is this normal?

most current knock sensors detect a frequency it’s possible it occurred during something else but unlikely or a possible electrical issue between the sensor and ecu, why did you have it replaced? also i don’t know hyundais very well so i would look into if that’s a common issue

So this car was used, and the dealership replaced them but never told me why when I got the car. I’m also not sure if this is something like a frequent issue with Hyundai or not but I know it is with Kia

i know they’re majority owned by the same people but idk about who makes what and common issues, is weird that they did it but didn’t give a reasoning tho

Just found out the issue!!! The woman who owned it before me knew there was a recall for the knock sensor. BUT! She had gotten an aftermarket sensor for $50 and replaced it herself. Like dumbass they could’ve done it properly for free. They also said I’m going to have to pay like $600 for it to be replaced because her actions made it not covered under warranty 😭
