Depends. Buying an EV rather than leasing it the dumbest fucking thing ever. Same rule applies in the case of ultra luxury or exotic cars — leasing is how you managed to depreciation rather than take it in the shorts on those

It’s only dumb if you care about new tech, if it’s any legacy auto brand that doesn’t really innovate much it’s not like the battery is gonna fail on you any time soon
