Ive seen concern of CarPlay's draining car batteries overnight. Just disconnect the battery before you go to bed

The 12v switched wire makes it so that the unit turns off when the ignition is off

My truck was fitted with it and my Audi has it too. And I've never had issues?

I'm ocd as fuck about anything audio related 😂 ik ppl hook into the hot 12v instead of the switched source and it drains batteries.

Most radios need both to work properly b/c the switch wire is just used as a signal to turn on, not power. To fix a draining issue, check your ground connection first, if that isn’t it buy two fuse taps, bust out a multimeter and properly wire the system.
