the interior is low quality and the driving experience is not engaging at all beyond the initial novelty of not having a gearbox. they’re honestly shit. they’re pretty fast, i’ll give them that, but that’s it. hell, my 27 year old BMW is built to higher standards than a muskmobile. they’re quite literally the opposite of a flex imo, i would be embarrassed to be seen in one of them.

Tesla made EV mainstream, and a success in the auto industry. At their price point they’re a flex, to SOME, compared to Lincolns, Cadillacs, Infinity, Acura. The way this irks you to the point of name calling is hilarious.

hey, if a cheap soulless car is a flex to you then be my guest, but i’ll never look at a tesla with envy. i like to drive cars. an E46 M3, Mk4 Supra, or Porsche gt3 is a flex, imo, even a hellcat is pretty cool. teslas are way too common to be considered a flex, i see like 20 of them on my way to work every day. this is all just my opinion, but again, i like to drive cars. perhaps we can agree to disagree.

not quite, but not far off. i’m more of a “burn down data centers” kinda guy, personally. if you wanna drive a tesla, go for it. you won’t catch me driving one though.

Really? You’d flex a Tesla over a Lincoln, Cadillac, Infiniti or Acura? Why? I couldn’t see myself rather having a Tesla over any of those vehicles. Flexing it over a Nissan Toyota or Honda maybe but once you step it up to the mid level luxury brands Tesla falls off a cliff

Terrible ride quality, terrible interior quality, unreliable drivetrain, software bugs and issues galore 50x more than any other american made vehicle and thousands more than any japanese or korean made vehicle

I don’t and wouldn’t flex a Tesla. That’s not my point. My point is it is a flex for some, which is valid based on their needs - A to B commuters that want a simple (EV) entry/luxury. Comparing any EV to gas sports cars like #3 is hilarious…not the same target demo. Tesla’s are good, not the best, not great, and not bad either. Y’all are just being typical keyboard warriors acting like they didn’t revolutionize the EV segment and D2C 🤦‍♂️

Teslas (the cars) didn’t revolutionize the EV market and D2C, Tesla (the company) did. The cars are still boring and soulless regardless of what the company has done. On top of that, A to B commuters don’t buy a car to flex it anyway, so I doubt even these people think a Tesla is a flex, it’s just a nice commuter. I’d agree that they’re nice for that purpose.

“Teslas are good, not great..” Wrong. They’re literally terrible vehicles. I’m not kidding dude. They are genuinely junk. “A flex valid based on their needs A-B etc” Why would anyone flex something that a Nissan Leaf does better in every way? Why would someone flex something that a Kia Telluride does better in every way? Anyone who knows one thing about cars doesn’t, they’re complete junk.
