Who cares if A.I. “helps you learn” 99% of y’all use it to cheat. If you don’t have the integrity and desire to not cheat and actually attempt to learn you shouldn’t be in college. I’m ashamed

Personally I can see both sides. Although using it to cheat definitely does not help, both with one’s personal learning and (from the professors’ perspectives) assessing learning, I do believe that it is a powerful tool that is only going to grow as time goes on. Although I only use it to help myself learn personally, I can also see the argument that “if it can do it for me now, it will be able to do it for me in the workforce”

Most people don’t give a shit about actually learning, only reason anyone goes to college in the first place is to get a job where they’re probably going to be required to use ai. Preserving integrity is genuine bs unless you’re looking to go into academia.

Just get lost in the past. Those using it to learn and iterate then changing their workflow will adapt faster and are less likely to be obsolete when they hit the workforce

“A.I. is a tool” yeah for the wealthy and elite class. You are participating in you own replacement. The more and more you rely on it the more and more you become irrelevant

I don’t disagree but if your latter argument is true wtf is the point 😭 4 years wasting away not learning anything just to continue a career of not doing anything? If yall are cool with that go right ahead. Keep ghat head in phone big guy, I’ll go see the world while it’s still here

Adapt faster to what? This technology is pointless in 9/10 fields and is making the job market crash. You are participating in your own demise

Bro then don't use it. It's an advancement that could further more opportunities for other people. It can take the overwhelming stress off of people by creating work plans, outlines, statistics, etc. For example, a teacher is not wealthy and elite. They can create lesson plans, send emails, and get information, not only faster but with less of a workload.

You’re too far gone. Maybe if AI was in the hands of the people and not a few select few I would agree with you. Ai is a generative system that can be programmed to affirm any narrative the developers want. Those lesson plans that our primary school teachers would ask AI for as you say will be sprinkled with all types of propaganda and misinformation. How are we gonna let our children be taught by fucking robots? This is the reality and nature of it and u are blind.

Have you seen the education system for children??? It's absolutely corrupt. Never once was I taught how to handle money, file taxes, invest, or any of the sorts. I am currently a junior at Brown University. Obviously AI isn't all sunshine and rainbows, but thats why teachers review the plan that was created. It's time for change—Maybe that change isn't the EXACT one, but it is certainly time to switch things up.

1. Learn faster 2. Get a rough draft/something on the page 3. Use critical thinking to question what you know and ai hallucinations 4. Be flexible 5. Build databases of your work

Ai is not going to be the change. At least not initially. If we can’t reform education without this recovery what makes you think we will with it?

Exactly my point ^ why AI is just going to further this issue. Integrity is the basis of human existence and advancement 😭. If we can’t be genuine in classes how r u gonna be genuine when we are addressing real world issues. No one cares to learn, no one cares to examine, and that’s why we are heading to destruction.
