Afraid to call the orthopedic surgeon again about my spine. Broke in April but the pain isn’t getting much better and has moved into my ribs🙃he’s very dismissive, help
If he’s not listening to you, ask for him to put that in writing and then request a different doctor (aka fire him)

I had a pcp who I was always afraid about calling for anything bc she’d never listen. If possible I highly recommend trying to find a different dr. I know with surgeons it’s a lil more difficult.

I tore my acl and had one that was saying my knee was only sprained. My physical therapist recommended a different orthopedic surgeon bc they were like “this is more than a sprain” and that dr actually did an mri when the other told me “use the stairs more”

But if you can’t switch, continue to complain about it and keep telling them your pain. If they dismiss it ask them to write that in their notes, that back pain spreading to the ribs is nothing to be concerned about, they might change their tune

I will be calling and telling about the continued pain! But I do have to switch anyways because my doctor was near my uni and I’ve graduated and gone home 3hrs away since then. I just want it to stop🥲

Usually if you ask for it in writing they do more because they know they’re not doing enough
