My hospital hosted a brain tumor survivorship day today and meeting people my age having gone through the same experiences was so moving. What a journey it’s been :,)

I cry every time I hear someone else’s gastroparesis journey. It helps me to know that I’m not the only one who went through shitty drs and had to readjust my life around it

In the neuro oncology world (and probably just oncology in general), we’re at least fortunate enough to have some of the most empathetic providers. I always hug my specialist and my neurosurgeon promised my mom he’d help me like I was family in pre op. Baffles me that some clinicians go into specialty or chronic disease care being dickheads.
