trick for this: remember that they are stealing your blood, you worked hard for that you'll be too mad to be sad

I’m sorry 🫂❤️ I don’t get that anxious but it def makes me so dizzy after and the seizures I have the day after or so feels like it’s just cuz of that and it’s just like 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ But I’m sorry it’s like that for you it’s not the best fr having to deal with needles

The fear of needles, blood draws, shots, etc will always be valid. Theres nurses who draw blood every day that will be freaking out just the same when they’re in the chair. It’s a wide spread and universal problem for people, never feel bad for it

yes! you’re not alone on that, i feel like a lot of people who frequently interact with the healthcare system start to get some serious anxiety about it at one point or another. it’s vulnerable, it hurts, and it sucks, and it becomes even harder if you’ve been emotionally or physically hurt in a healthcare setting. personally, i find it helpful to ask them to draw from my hand instead of my elbow. it feels less sensitive and it generally avoids the “digging for veins” feeling that freaks me out.
