I love how I became underweight due to my wisdom teeth surgery and how shitty it’s been even a month later I’m still super fucking uncomfortable with the gaping holes they left it’s a sensory nightmare. I made an appt last week and was like ong help. and then flash forward to to now I have to fast for a day with extreme laxatives for a fucking scopes like that’s not going to make me lose more weight

I’m sure you’ve already been doing a lot but liquid calories really come in clutch. And it took like a year for my empty sockets to fully close over after I had my wisdom teeth out but it will eventually be unnoticeable

I was given a plastic syringe to irrigate the holes left. I would bring it with me everywhere and irrigate every time I ate which helped with discomfort and pain

My dentist said people overuse those so his old ass didn’t wanna give me one. I’m using a syringe I was gonna use for Jell-O shots for Halloween and it gets the job mily done it’s so annoying

Overusing an irrigation syringe for an open wound is crazy. I’m sorry he kinda sucks. If you’re able, try to get the curved syringes as they’re shaped perfectly for the job and really helped my recovery

You can also get little water bottles with an irrigation tip, but I personally just put water in my cheek and then used pressure to like. Make it rush past the socket. Idk how ADA approved that is.
