Picture this: you go into the accessibility services office and the advisor has a little cart with snacks or fidgets or things like that. What would you like to see on the cart? It can be disability specific or not. (It’s me, I’m the advisor, hopefully!)

Dog treats for service doggos! My SD deserves a treat every once in a while

N95 masks, electrolyte drink packets, disposable hot & cold packs, some kind of gluten-free snack, maybe cheap generic lip balm or travel-size lotion tubes

Ngl… I like fidget spinners. And my psych has these like textured sticker things I like. They feel like rhinestones to me

Snacks and fidgets sound great also. The disability services office at my old school also had tea and hot chocolate

I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed to have medicine to give students but I’ll look into the policies of the specific school I get hired at! I’m already planning to keep a first aid kit/menstrual supplies.

I have allergies so my snacks will definitely be thoughtfully curated. Masks were also on my list. Not sure about the lip balm or lotion though as I know tons of people has issues with scents (me included) and travel sizes are hit and miss with their labeling and can be pretty expensive. Not sure id personally consider this unless there was a great argument for it, but it’s definitely something to think more about!

unscented kind! totally understand if that’s not realistic, but lots of different chronic illnesses cause dehydration and skin drying / cracking / flaking / chafing etc to an extent that can be painful
