
it’s not a total shock, we found a suspicious brain lesion almost a year ago. luckily it hasn’t grown but this also means nobody is rushing for imaging or any testing. to quote neurosurgery “it’s probably a tumor but it’s fine” and then he left without answering any questions. his response to me asking if it was malignant was “it’s probably a grade two”. i’ve seen a lot of people since then and many of them share that sentiment. i now have a good primary and neuro oncologist but it legitimately
That’s so frustrating. Things take so long in our healthcare system. I’m in a similar situation where I’ve been looking for answers for 3-4 years and am now having tests fast tracked because my symptoms got more severe. It takes a lot of advocating for yourself and that is really difficult to do when unwell. But I hope you get answers soon so that they can get you the right treatment
