i was messaging someone who turned out to be a doctor, and what do you know he downplayed covid when i said i take precautions but also tried to tell me sob stories about losing loved ones to covid. god why are doctors predictable in the worst ways

he told me he wasn’t a privileged doctor bc he had to use his inheritance to pay for med school…. like bruh. when disabled people tell me i should be masking for them and for myself i do it. when disabled people tell me how to make their lives easier i do it. i don’t give excuses and talk over disabled people to tell them what’s better for them. and that’s why i’m a better ally than most doctors.

i’m disabled myself and i’ve been failed by doctors at literally every point while they bleed me dry for as much money as possible in exchange for as little care and as much gaslighting as possible. i almost died bc doctors didn’t want to treat me for my actual symptoms bc they found thc in my system. oh no but doctors are the real victims!! the difference is they choose to be doctors but i didn’t choose to rely on them to save my life.

the only reason i can walk today is because i had to figure out my health issues myself by randomly stumbling across stuff online. my doctors just said 🤷‍♀️ you can’t walk and nothing has improved after 3 years and $5k more down the drain but idk i guess you’re just like that now. i fixed that shit by myself with the help of women on the internet. but someone think of the doctors!!!!
