I blocked them bc im SICK of people telling me the same shit (that I know isn’t entirely correct) when I’ve had chronic migraines for 7 yrs. I know what works for me and I’m tired of people thinking they know more about my own migraines than me.

Coffee is one of the biggest migraine triggers-if you have migraines stay away lol

Actually it can trigger or help a migraine. For me it helps my migraines, temporarily- but at least until I can get to my meds. I’ve had multiple people fight me on this when my neurologist is the one that told me caffeine CAN (but not always) be helpful, and I’ve had 4 yrs of experience with it being helpful

Not to rant, but i have gotten a bit annoyed by people trying to educate me on things i already know about my own body

Hey listen I get it. I’ve been a chronic migraine sufferer for 14 years and I’m a brain cancer survivor. Caffeine is a great kick to migraines, ie excedrin. But when the caffeine comes from coffee or chocolate and so on it’s processed differently. That’s probably why it only works temporarily or triggers them. Caffeine works but it’s the type of caffeine you consume.

I’m sure you didn’t want to hear that. But as you said you know your body and you know coffee can either trigger or help-why would you wanna take that chance when there’s a little more information out there

It’s never triggered one for me, I know my limits and I know what works for me.

that is absolute bullshit; caffeine is not processed differently based on the source. it can, however, make a migraine come back worse later based on the rate of vasodilatation when it wears off, which is based on the amount you consume.

also, completely aside from being factually incorrect in an easily verifiable way, having brain cancer probably considerably altered your plan of care from the average person’s experience with migraines, so it’s potentially harmful for you to give the average person migraine advice based on your experience.
