Controversial opinion, you should never lower your standards (for relationships, I’m assuming is what you’re referring to). Maybe if your standard is unrealistic, like “he must be very rich, super muscular, and be a construction worker”. But you want to find someone who will make you happy, love you for you, and meet your relationship needs. And if you lower standards, there will be a lot more misses than hits.

What I posted doesn’t have anything to do with romantic relationships in any regard. I was referring to being mistreated by medical providers and social workers and being expected to lower your standards even more when things are barely at the bare minimum.

Oh well in that case ignore what I said. Idk why someone downvoted me for misunderstanding tho. Yea… I’m getting frustrated trying to find drs that meet my standards (not cancel appts randomly and listens to me).
