Guys for the first time I’m feeling relief for my POTS. My neurologist prescribed me a nicotine patch, and I’m hesitant because I’ve never used nicotine recreationally. But omg I can finally eat without nausea and I feel so much better!

Nicotine patch friend… I have neuropathic pots and were trying all unconventional and conventional methods by using chemicals to help link my nervous system receptors this is temporary as it is demonstrating what in my nervous system is dysfunctioning.

Also, I’m not taking comments or advice from someone who’s not even a neurologist this is a supportive community and if you don’t know how to be supportive for those who are battling chronic illness that this is not the community for you and you don’t deserve to interact with anybody in here or receive support.

I was making a joke that you got prescribed nicotine even though typically that’s what doctors tell you not to do. I wasn’t giving advice or commenting on your illness. I thought it was a silly comment to make while being supportive. I’m sorry

Oh ok I apologize I couldn’t tell the tone in here. But I understand where you are coming from now. Sorry for jumping on you I’ve just been getting a lot of weird comments about it lately from people close to me so I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. I get the joke tho that is actually funny. I’m sorry too.

Woah. You misunderstood what was supposed to be a lighthearted, joking, yet still supportive comment. Misunderstandings happen, but telling this person that they don’t deserve to interact with anyone or receive support for their own chronic illness is a horrible thing to say

Sorry I think I commented at the same time as you, and I didn’t see yours until after mine posted. Thank you for apologizing, and I’m sorry you’ve been getting a lot of weird comments lately

No I get it I totally read that wrong that’s on me I don’t want anyone to feel excluded I thought I was being made fun of for a moment there and I just reacted. But thank you- you’re right this is a supportive community so even if I feel a type of way (I read into it wrong) I can’t also make someone else feel what I felt either.
