I always do something to celebrate, I can’t control what happened/will happen but I can control how I react and what I focus on. And sometimes people ask “oh what are we celebrating” and I get to say “I just got diagnosed with an incurable illness 😀” and that’s always funny

I was like that when my dr told me i have fibro. I understood everything he was saying to me in the office, agreeing and nodding along. I even asked questions. And then that night, i was at home and i googled fibro and one of the first things it said was this is a chronic pain disorder and it clicked in that moment and was like oh.. fuck😀
