You can try physical therapy exercises at home to strengthen the muscles around your knees, it will help your joints be more sturdy when you stand! I notice the biggest difference in my knees when I’m walking regularly vs when I don’t—I haven’t been taking walks recently and my knees hurt a LOT more lol 💔

What the therapist will tell you is to strengthen all the muscles around your knee so the ligaments aren’t being so strained. Buying a light weight resistance band would be useful to the exercises

I literally need to take my own advice but seriously do NOT underestimate the importance of exercise. It seems counterintuitive at first but it really helps in the long term w/ preventing injuries and pain from joint instability

i had a major surgery that required me to rest for a while and i lost basically all of my muscle mass :( i haven’t been able to get back into exercising regularly because my joints hurt so badly all the time even from slight exercise like walking and i don’t know how to pace myself

do you know if there are any to avoid with hypermobility or what the schedule should look like? i was told to avoid stretches at least but im not sure if there are also exercises to be avoided.

If it feels like something is dislocating, stop immediately and check your form. If you form is fin but it still feels that way, just cut out the exercise.

There are no exercises I can think of that you have to avoid but just be careful when trying something knew
