I think I might just have to accept that I’ll never gain all of my weight back and donate everything and buy new clothes that fit. I know how to sew, so I can modify my favorite clothes. I’m just a little upset about it

During my first (very serious) gastroparesis flare I lost 90-100lbs. I’ve only been able to gain back like 20 lbs max. Only 10 is ever permanent. (It yo-yos cause I don’t try to gain or lose one way or another). I’d keep some fav staple pieces as a “just in case” if it was recent but there’s no point in wearing clothes that don’t fit. You’ll feel better wearing clothes that fit you and make you look good!

I had a bad gastroparesis plus colitis flare last year, and I lost about 20 lbs (which is a lot for me bc I was already slowly losing weight). Then a few months ago I lost another 10 in a flare. The most I seem to be able to gain back is about 5-6lbs. I’m just tired of pants that don’t fit clogging up my drawers

The pants are the worst cause there’s only so much a belt can do. I think ist one point I had 5 different sizes of pants and wanted to hold onto all of them. It’s just an extension of health anxiety and I personally couldn’t move on with a pile of those pants in my room!
